Nora's Strength, Tanya's Dilemma, and the Unconscious Old Maddy: A Dance of Challenges and Discoveries
Nora was amused. It seemed like the right time to chat with
Quentin and let him know how strong she was. "You don't have to follow me
around," she said calmly, then went up the stairs without waiting for
Quentin's response. Quentin stared after her angrily. He was about to say
something mean when he suddenly found her familiar. Although Nora was wearing
trousers, whereas Number Zero 28 was always in a long black or red dress, the
two looked somewhat similar from the back. He must be mistaken. Number Zero 28
was a straightforward person. How could she be Nora? Quentin shook his head and
dismissed the thought.
At this point, someone walked over from a short distance,
giving Quentin a shock. He hurriedly hid in the dark. He had become so
accustomed to being in the limelight at the underground arena that he had
almost exposed himself to the Smiths' servants. After Nora entered the living
room, she rid herself of Quentin. He would never openly show up in front of
others. Pete was already home and playing blocks with Mia.
Mia spoke softly, so even though Pete found it boring, he
nevertheless accompanied her with a frown. The simple-minded Brandon circled
around them. "Mia, why are you so stupid? You can't do that. It
collapsed," he said. Mia pouted and stared at Brandon in silence. Brandon
panicked. "Hey, don't cry, little crybaby. Please don't cry. I won't touch
your things anymore, okay?" Pete sighed, bent over, and easily arranged
Mia's blocks back into their previous state. Mia cheered up and said,
"Thank you, Cherry." Pete replied stoically, "You're
welcome."

Nora wondered why her son was talking so weirdly. While she
was thinking about it, Pete sensed her looking at him, and his dark eyes lit
up. "Mommy!" he called out, sounding a bit wheedling. Nora raised her
eyebrows, realizing the little fellow must have something to ask. She nodded
and went up the stairs. When she entered the bedroom on the upper floor and
looked behind her, she saw Pete closing the door. Nora sat on the sofa
casually.
"What's the matter?" Pete walked up to her
hesitantly. He finally asked, "Mommy, can you ask Godmom to teach me how
to dance?" Nora was surprised. "You want Tanya to teach you how to
dance?" "Yeah. Mia likes dancing very much. Whenever we have dance
classes, she always hides outside the door and secretly learns. Godmom has
already spotted her several times, but she doesn't take her as a student."
Nora licked her lips. "Okay, I'll ask her about it." Pete smiled.
"I'll go out and play with Mia." "Go ahead," Nora said.
After Pete left, Nora decided to call Tanya. However, just as she was about to do so, she received a video call from Tanya herself. As soon as she picked up, she saw Tanya's face taking up the entire screen. "Little Nora! Do you miss me? Your mother-in-law is asking you to come over and visit when you're free. Hasn't it been a long time since you last came over to my place?" Tanya hollered, her voice so loud that it made Nora's temple throb. Nora kept quiet for a while. Then she asked, "How have you been lately?" Tanya heaved a huge sigh. "I found someone with great potential for dancing recently. She's the first person I've developed an interest in, apart from Cherry. Do you think I should take her as an apprentice? But I don't really get along with her parents. I'm troubled about this."
This was exactly why Nora had wanted to call Tanya. She
would never give her close friend trouble just because of her son's request.
Mia had great potential for dancing, and Tanya had been searching for a
successor. Although Nora hadn't had much contact with Mia, she could tell Mia
was a kind little girl. Tanya must be referring to Mia. Nora asked, "How
do you feel about it?" Tanya sighed. "I don't know what to do. She
likes dancing very much. Whenever I hold dance classes, she secretly comes over
and learns, but I pretend not to know. Sometimes when I see her dancing by
herself, I find myself in a daze, as if I'm looking at myself when I was
younger."
Tanya had seen Mia wearing a white princess dress, tiptoeing
gracefully. Mia was born with a small frame like Tanya, tall and thin. It was a
pity for someone like her not to dance. Tanya cherished talent, but whenever
she thought of Mia's mother, she felt she couldn't afford to mess with them.
The more Tanya thought about it, the more fed up she became. "Forget it.
I'll just wait and see." Nora stared at her. "Sometimes if you wait
and see, the opportunity may pass you by." Tanya had made up her mind to
teach Mia dancing; she was just missing that last push. "You're right.
I'll start teaching her tomorrow. Or at least I'll let her join the dance
class," Tanya said. Seeing the troubled look disappear, Nora nodded.
The day passed quickly. Early the next morning, Nora got out
of bed to perform acupuncture on Old Maddy again. Barring any accidents, she
would be treating his illness for the next half month. Unexpectedly, as soon as
she reached the small house in the backyard, she saw the butler standing
outside, looking worried. "Miss Nora, Old Maddy is still unconscious.
Surely nothing has gone wrong, right?" the butler panicked. Nora entered
the house and checked Old Maddy's pulse. The butler was surprised. Could someone
as young as her really do it? He questioned Nora's medical skills. Nora
brandished the extra-long needle and stuck it into Old Maddy's head again.
"He's fine. He'll recover after he sleeps for a few more days," she
said. Then she turned and left.
While walking back to the main house, Nora received a call from Lily. "I've received the DNA sample you sent. The results will be out in eight hours," Lily said. "Okay," Nora replied. She drove to the underground arena. Her task was to advance to Class F quickly to spar with Big Brother. As usual, she changed into the red tight-fitting dress in the car. Inside the arena, she heard people discussing. "Who do you think will be stronger this year? Big Brother or Big Sister?" Amidst the comments, a voice said, "How could the champion possibly emerge only from those two sects?" The speaker was from Benevolence Hall, a recently established martial arts sect. "Our first senior disciple, Victor, can crush Big Brother and Big Sister for sure," he boasted. The others laughed. "Who the hell is Victor?" they asked. "Our trainer is the internationally renowned boxing champion, Abigail," the Benevolence Hall disciple replied proudly. The discussion continued, and Nora's determination grew stronger.
Martial Arts Showdown: Victor's Unexpected Skill Challenges Quinn School's Legacy
Quinn had been outraged when the news reached him. For three
days straight, he ranted and raved about the situation in the training gym.
Quinn prided himself on practicing an internal style of martial arts, one
focused on spiritual and mental aspects. He couldn't fathom how it could be
compared to a loud and aggressive martial art style. He suspected the devious
old Irvin was laughing at him behind his back because of the situation. The
sect, with a name as elegant as the Benevolence Hall, had actually been
established by Abigail. As Quinn stewed over these thoughts, a random member of
the audience sneered, "What's the big deal about a boxing champion? Is he
even comparable to the martial artists in the States? We'll beat you guys up,
no matter how many you throw at us."
Victor, a tall and sullen man, heard the sneering remarks
and responded with a sneer of his own. "Then get Big Brother or Big Sister
to come out here and fight me." The audience retorted mockingly, "Do
you think they'll fight you just because you say so? Big Brother and Big Sister
are very busy people. Why should they show you that much courtesy?"
Victor's frown deepened, but before he could reply, the crowd behind him
shouted, "If they're that great, why don't they come and teach us a
lesson? I bet they don't even live up to their reputation."

The Irvin School of Martial Arts and Quinn School of Martial
Arts had long been respected in the pugilistic world. In peaceful times, these
schools had become a spiritual sustenance for martial artists. Big Brother from
the Irvin School had won the championship at fifteen, silencing all critics.
This was why so many people clamored for photos with them at martial arts
seminars. Now, Victor's provocation angered everyone. "What are you
doing?" someone behind Victor shouted. "If you have the ability, get
Big Brother or Big Sister to fight openly. Otherwise, if you cause trouble
here, you'll be chased out of the martial arts competition."
The martial arts competition was held to give martial
artists a sense of belonging, not to select a real champion. Without it, the
sects would likely lose interest in martial arts and focus on wealth and
physical strength. A strict rule prohibited private provocations or attacks,
with violators being eliminated. Hearing this, Victor found the situation
boring and walked towards the entrance. As he approached, Nora, standing
nearby, stepped into the competition first.
Nora, Justin, and Quentin participated in the day's matches
effortlessly. After their match, they sat on a sofa, waiting for the next bout.
Suddenly, a bloodied and deformed competitor was carried past them. Injuries
were common in the arena, so Nora initially paid no attention. But soon, the
tension in the venue increased as people glared at Victor. "Although this
is a martial arts competition, there's no need to fight so ruthlessly," a
Quinn School disciple said to Victor. Victor sneered, "In boxing competitions,
the opponent must be knocked unconscious. I didn't know New York loved Keith so
much."
The Quinn School disciple tried to explain, but Victor
interrupted mockingly, "Are you blaming me for being too ruthless?
Casualties are inevitable." The disciple was speechless. Victor's disdain
for the martial arts competition was clear. "If you can't afford to play,
then you should withdraw from the competition," Victor declared
domineeringly, before heading to the food section. The Quinn School disciple
was stunned by Victor's aura but finally scolded him, "What a petty person!
In the next match, you'll face Quinn School of Martial Arts' Class D. I'll wait
for you to say this again."
Victor paused and smiled, but didn't reply. Instead, he picked up a beverage as the group around them dispersed, disliking the four from Benevolence Hall. Nora, touching the sofa gently, heard her daughter Cherry's voice, "Mommy, Daddy, can the Class D people teach him a lesson?" Quentin sneered, "Yes." He explained Victor's background: a former hooligan who joined Benevolence Hall after leaving Scarface's gang. Nora was curious, "Does Benevolence Hall accept such people?" Quentin sneered, "What Benevolence Hall? Those four are just hooligans with no real skills."
Despite Quentin's disdain, Nora watched as Victor prepared
for his next match against Randy, a skilled Class D fighter from Quinn School.
The audience cheered for Randy, confident in his victory. As Randy attacked,
Victor dodged at the last moment and countered with a kick to Randy's stomach,
shocking everyone. Quentin, in disbelief, muttered, "How is this
possible?"
Nora observed Victor closely, realizing that despite his
past as a hooligan, he had developed impressive skills. This realization added
a new layer of complexity to the martial arts competition and the dynamics
between the sects.
