however, remains defiant, boasting that he will call Sam Wadsworth, a powerful
figure with influence over the local police, to deal with Alex. Bruno believes
that Sam’s intervention will tip the scales back in his favor, but Alex’s
reaction surprises everyone.
When Sam Wadsworth answers the phone and hears Bruno’s
request to send reinforcements, he responds with unexpected fury. Instead of
backing Bruno, Sam berates him for daring to assault Alex Ambrose, whom he
evidently holds in high regard. The revelation shocks Bruno, who realizes that
he has severely underestimated Alex’s connections and influence.
As Bruno’s world crumbles around him, Alex takes the phone
